2015 Dale Creek Perennial Garden

Greendale, WI

Created and Maintained by Ann Marie Kowalski

Ann Marie and Brandy working in the perennial flower garden. Over the years, Ann Marie has recovered wild and abandoned brushland along Dale Creek. What was once the untamed realm of windfall timber, Buckthorn, Garlic Mustard, Burrdock and other nasty plants, known only to a botonist, is now a colorful, scenic perennial flower garden.

Extending some 500 feet from the Clover Avenue bridge, North along the foot path, then through the yard to wind up at the end of Crocus Court where it provides entry to the Gazebo Park and Village Center. The garden features splashes of color from the hundreds of perennial plants, while the scrubland is covered in a lush green ground cover.
